wedding & Lifestyle photography

We love exploring the local countryside, it is a beautiful area we live in. Consequently, some of our favourite places - Tring Park, Ashridge, Rushmere, Wendover - are also some of my favourite places to photograph in. When I started my business I made the conscious decision not to have a studio. After all, there is nothing better for creating natural, relaxed portraits than a favourite place or the comfort of your own home.

Before moving to the Chilterns, we spent almost 10 years living in London. We will always have a fondness for this fabulous city and, being right on our doorstep, we love taking day trips with our daughter to visit the sights, or to catch up with friends. Likewise, London provides almost unlimited photographic opportunities, has a dizzying amount of wedding venues, and is one of my favourite places to take couples for their engagement shoot.

Our favourite time of year. We met in the Autumn, got married in the Autumn, and have travelled the world to see some of the greatest Autumn displays. It's not just about the colours though, I think there is just something in the air this time of year. It's also the start of cosy fires & seasonal coffees, of pumpkin carving, woolly hats and sparklers. The days are shorter, but not too short, and when the light is right there is nothing more beautiful.

I love listening to music and discovering new bands - and of course I make sure I have my Spotify playlist ready to go with each editing session! We are also big movie buffs and a trip to the cinema is our go-to date night! I love the ability music and film have to take you somewhere, to a moment in time, a memory, a feeling. It is very much how I view photography - I want you to look back and remember not just how great you looked, but how great you felt.

"Life is your art. An open aware heart is your camera"

I have always been a sensitive soul with a creative side, a combination that has treated me well for understanding characters and relationships - and why I love connecting with the people I work with.

The 'why' I do what I do, is in my belief that love stories should be celebrated, cherished - for future generations to see where it all began. I think the power of great photography is in its ability to capture the essence of a moment, the feelings you felt, and for others to sense that too. It's in knowing what these photographs may mean to you, your children, your children's children, in years to come that fills me with a passion to continue to push my craft to the highest possible standards and to create a photography legacy that tells your unique love story.

So come have me along, you'll love the way I see things.
