I am continually inspired by the people I meet as a photographer and find it a huge honour to be part of each and every wedding I photograph
In return, I give my all - understanding all that your wedding day means to you, and pushing my craft to the highest possible standards to create a beautiful and unique record of your day.
Of course, it took me forever to pluck up the courage to talk to her! When I finally did I found out she had been too nervous to talk to me too, but suddenly talking seemed like the most natural thing in the world. The importance of what that meant at the time may have been fleeting, but it's significance has played out in our (almost) half a lifetime of adventures together. I married by best friend in 2009. She is the rock to my dreamer. The messy to my perfectionism. She is the example of empathy, strength & kindness that I aim to live by, & I have seen her grow into the most incredible mother to our little girl.
My approach to capturing weddings is friendly and relaxed - I’m not the type of photographer that bosses people around or tries to direct the day. Instead, I blend in with your guests and capture the day as it unfolds, creating images full of intimate moments, honesty and soul.
Although the majority of my photography is documentary, I love creating relaxed romantic bride and groom portraits, and I understand the importance of those key group shots that provide an historic record of close family and friendships. These are all captured with the same attention to detail as the rest of my photography - lightly directing people as needed and having plenty of laughs as we go.
Before moving to the Chilterns, we spent almost 10 years living in London. We will always have a fondness for this fabulous city and, being right on our doorstep, we love taking day trips with our daughter to visit the sights, or to catch up with friends. Likewise, London provides almost unlimited photographic opportunities, has a dizzying amount of wedding venues, and is one of my favourite places to take couples for their engagement shoot.
Our favourite time of year. We met in the Autumn, got married in the Autumn, and have travelled the world to see some of the greatest Autumn displays. It's not just about the colours though, I think there is just something in the air this time of year. It's also the start of cosy fires & seasonal coffees, of pumpkin carving, woolly hats and sparklers. The days are shorter, but not too short, and when the light is right there is nothing more beautiful.
I love listening to music and discovering new bands - and of course I make sure I have my Spotify playlist ready to go with each editing session! We are also big movie buffs and a trip to the cinema is our go-to date night! I love the ability music and film have to take you somewhere, to a moment in time, a memory, a feeling. It is very much how I view photography - I want you to look back and remember not just how great you looked, but how great you felt.
